Agency/Brand: Sky TV
Role: Multi-cam Editor, Motion Designer
Cinema Dates was a bold, social-first branded content partnership between Sky TV and Diablo. Designed as a 10-episode YouTube exclusive dating series, each 15-minute episode followed blind date couples brought together by Sky Cinema for the ultimate cinema-first date — complete with wine supplied by Diablo.
The series was hosted by acclaimed British comedian Michael Spicer, who provided sharp, behind-the-scenes commentary and playful roasts of the couples as they navigated their first encounters. The format blended multi-camera storytelling with humour, romance, and brand integration, creating a shareable, entertaining watch that resonated with online audiences.
My role was to take the creative lead on the edit across all 10 episodes, shaping the narrative and ensuring each episode delivered a satisfying story arc. I collaborated with a graphic designer to create fun, romantic lower thirds and a dark, stylish brand message for our sponsor, Diablo, which gave the series its distinctive look and tone. Alongside this, I worked closely with a junior editor, offering coaching and guidance while focusing on structure, rhythm, and the authentic development of the couples’ love stories.
